Maple Ash
Maple Ash is set against magnificent rolling dunes that have a habit of changing color to match the mood of the sun.
This creation was born from shared laughter over nostalgic childhood memories, the realization of fleeting youth, and the excavation of strength in tenderness as girls turn into women.
Bodies intertwine, coming together just to separate again. A language of underlying understanding and trust is unearthed. It is here that full witnessing takes place, not as judgment, but as a silent nod of acceptance. Intimacy is naturally created, with the harshness of the desert as their only witness. Yet this intimacy is neither performative nor fixed, but is discovered in the fragile act of holding and being held. Discovering tenderness. Embracing strength. A quiet liberation.
A sense of becoming that lingers like the warmth in the sand after the sun has said goodnight.
